AI agent backends for agencies that need to hand over real code
In brief
Axtra Intellion is a human-approved control plane for solo and small AI agencies. It turns a client workflow into a reviewable specification, an inspectable backend artifact, validation evidence, and a download or deployment handoff. The focus is business-logic fit and client ownership, not a demo generated as quickly as possible.
Ownership map
One client requirement. Five inspectable boundaries.

The delivery gap
Why an agency backend needs more than a working demo
A client does not only inherit an interface. They inherit business rules, API contracts, integrations, failure paths, and the responsibility to operate what was built. Those details should be reviewable before code generation and traceable after it.
Axtra keeps the approved specification, generated source, artifact version, and validation result in one workflow. The generated runtime remains separate from the Axtra control plane, so the backend can be inspected and handed to a client or technical team.
Working demo
Shows that an idea can run.
Useful for alignment, but incomplete as an engineering handoff.
Owned backend
Shows what was approved and built.
The contract, source, version, and evidence travel together.
Five boundaries
From client requirement to an owned handoff
- 01
Requirement
Capture the client workflow
Translate the outcome, business rules, and constraints into a reviewable requirement.
- 02
Approval
Approve the contract
Resolve ambiguity before generation begins and record what the backend must do.
- 03
Artifact
Generate owned source
Produce a versioned backend artifact the agency and client can inspect.
- 04
Evidence
Validate that version
Tie validation evidence to the exact artifact instead of a previous run.
- 05
Handoff
Choose the next step
Download the source or report an honest deployment-preflight result.
Read the detailed workflow in the agent backend guide.
Inspection surface
What the agency and client can review
- Endpoint and typed input/output contracts
- Agent workflow and business rules
- Generated source and runtime files
- Validation status and version evidence
- Edits linked to a new artifact version
- Download or lane-specific deploy readiness
Fit check
When Axtra is—and is not—the right fit
Axtra fits agencies that need to review what will be built, retain source, and show technical evidence during handoff. It is less suitable when the only requirement is a single hosted endpoint with no source or specification to keep.
Deployment is a separate, gated step. Not every project receives a live endpoint: the selected lane and its configuration must pass preflight, and a blocked preflight is reported as a blocker rather than presented as a successful deployment. See the comparison page for the tradeoff.
Strong fit
You need an approved contract, inspectable source, and evidence for handoff.
Different fit
You only need a hosted endpoint and do not need to retain the source or specification.
Direct answers
Questions small AI agencies ask
Does Axtra replace an agency engineer?
No. It makes the requirement, specification, generated source, and validation evidence easier to review. A technical owner still decides what is approved and what is ready to hand over or deploy.
Can a client keep the generated backend?
The workflow produces a versioned ZIP artifact that can be inspected and downloaded. Ownership and commercial terms still follow the agreement between the agency and its client.
Does every generated backend go live?
No. Validation and deployment preflight can block a release. Download remains a separate handoff path when deployment is unavailable or deliberately deferred.
